Didn't see this coming!

It's been raining fairly hard for pretty much 24 hours straight. Our monstrosity sits near the top of a hill, so we haven't been too worried about the flooding that is pretty common in this area. Turns out, we have more to be concerned about than we realized.



This is a "before" picture, all of that ugly, stained, deep-pile carpet has been removed, exposing the 45-year-old tile underneath. But you see those sliding glass doors? We just discovered that they leak. Not badly, just enough for a little water in the door tracks and seeping into the seams between the tiles for about 6 inches or so into the room. We wouldn't even have realized if I hadn't gone to check the locks in my stocking feet. This is gonna get expensive and until I find a job there's just no money to spend on it. All we can do is pray for good weather.
